Kato supports the Rightmove Commercial V2 API, giving you more control over the property information you send to Rightmove.
You can add structured amenities, building floor details, BREEAM ratings and multiple available spaces to your listings. Rightmove also validates key listing data before it accepts a property.
This guide explains where to manage these details in Kato and what to check before you publish.
How Rightmove Commercial V2 works
When you publish a disposal to Rightmove, Kato sends the supported property and availability data from your property and disposal records.
Rightmove Commercial V2 supports:
Structured amenities
Floors above and below ground
BREEAM ratings
Multiple available spaces
Additional space-level specifications
Some fields are required by Rightmove. If required information is missing or invalid, the listing will not publish.
Add amenities and specifications
Go to:
Disposal → Marketing → Amenities & Specifications
Use the Amenities & Specifications panel to select the features available at the property.
Rightmove only accepts predefined amenity codes. Free-text amenities are not sent, so select the relevant structured options in Kato.

Add building floors
Go to:
Property Details → Attributes → Building Floors
Enter the number of:
Floors above ground
Floors below ground
These values form part of the property information sent to Rightmove.
Add a BREEAM rating
Go to:
Disposal → Management → BREEAM Rating
Select the property's BREEAM rating from the dropdown.
The available values follow the standard BREEAM certification levels and let you include the property's sustainability credentials on its Rightmove listing.
Add available spaces
Rightmove Commercial V2 supports multiple lettable spaces within one property listing.
Go to:
Disposal → Availability → Manage Floor / Unit
Select Add floor / unit to create another available space.
For each space, you can add:
Size — the individual space size and measurement standard
Pricing — rent and rates for the space
Availability status — for example, Coming Soon or Available
Property type — for example, Office or Serviced Office
Build Status
Fitout
Accuracy
Direct Entrance
Ceiling Height
Each space is sent to Rightmove as a separate available unit within the same property listing.
Make sure every space has a valid size and pricing entry before you publish.
Check your listing before publishing
The important bit!
Rightmove validates several fields when Kato sends your listing.
Make sure these details are complete:
Field | Requirement |
Address | Complete address, including postcode |
Summary | A property summary is required |
Price / Rent | Valid pricing is required |
Size | A size value is required |
Description | A marketing description is required |
If any of these fields are missing or incomplete, Rightmove will not accept the listing.
If a property fails to publish, check these fields first.
Rightmove field limits
Another important bit!
Rightmove also applies limits to some of the information you publish.
Key points
Add between 1 and 10 key points.
Each key point must contain fewer than 250 characters.
Description
There is no hard character limit stated for the description, but keep it below 2,000 characters where possible.
Amenities
There is no limit on the number of amenities you can select, but Rightmove only accepts its predefined amenity codes.
Use the structured Amenities & Specifications fields in Kato rather than free text.
Rent pricing
The calculated price per unit, per annum must not exceed £99,999.99.
Available spaces
Every available space must have a valid size and pricing entry.
Troubleshooting
My listing will not publish to Rightmove
Check that the disposal has:
A complete address and postcode.
A property summary.
Valid price or rent information.
A size.
A marketing description.
Valid size and pricing for every available space.
Also check that any amenities use the structured options available in Kato rather than free-text values.
If the listing still does not publish, reach out to support and request to speak to a human if needed.
