The Basics
Q.What is the Landlord Portal?
A. The Landlord Portal is a real-time dashboard designed to give landlords a clear, intuitive overview of their property portfolio and associated activities. It streamlines collaboration with agents and provides key performance insights.
Q. What features does the Landlord Portal include?
Real-time portfolio activity tracking
At-a-glance key performance stats
Easy navigation and intuitive onboarding
Centralised view of all shared disposals and schedules
Customisable viewing modes (Table and Kanban)
Detailed insights into agent activity and deal progression
Q. Where is your Interest data coming from?
A. Kato is where your Agents do their marketing (across various publishing locations), matching and deal making everyday. That tenant information flows seamlessly onto their digital Interest Schedules. When this is shared with, you get live demand data directly from the source.
Q. Can I get access to market data?
A. The Agents Society data belongs to the agents; that is one of the reasons that it is so accurate and powerful. That is not to say that you cannot benefit from this data via your agents. Ask your agents for Comparables / Competing Availability schedules, and they will be able to use Kato to provide you with live, accurate reports that will help inform your strategy. So you can benefit from our Data-at-Source approach.
Portfolio & Disposal Visibility
Q. How can I view all shared disposals?
A. You can access all your shared disposals and Interest Schedules within the "disposals' tab on the left of your dashboard. It also shows which agents are working on which disposals.
Q. Can I request a new Interest Schedule?
A. Yes, the portal allows landlords to request new Interest Schedules directly from the disposal view.
Q. How do I know which agents are working on which disposals?
Each disposal clearly indicates which agents and agencies have been instructed, giving landlords transparency into agent assignments.
Interest Schedules & Collaboration
Q. Can landlords see all tenant rep agent requirements?
A. No, landlords can only view the specific details that agents choose to share on the schedule. Agent society requirements that are not on the shared schedule will not be included.
Q. Can I switch the Interest Schedule layout?
A. Yes, you can toggle between a Table view and a Kanban layout to best suit your preference. Each view allows filtering, searching/sorting and the ability to click into any enquiry to view more specific details.
Q. How can I download an Interest Schedule?
A. We discourage Landlord users from downloading Interest Schedules. As soon as they are downloaded to excel or pdf they lose their live/connected functionality and the information becomes static and, quickly, out of date.
If it is to share with a colleague, you can set them up a free account and add them to your organisation - they will see the live Interest Schedule.
If it is to upload into an internal system or perform data analytics, why not chat to us about our paid-for API feature? - This allows you to get a live feed of your Kato data directly into your CRM or Deal progression platform.
If it is for a report, can you screenshot your Interest Schedule (N.B. this looks better from 'present' mode)
If you still need a download, your agents can do this, so you can ask them to send across an Excel / PDF as needed.
Q. Can I share my Interest Schedule with a JV Partner?
A. The system is currently not set up to allow for two landlord organisations to participate on an Interest Schedule. However, there are ways we can set this up to work for you - just get in touch (bronnie@kato.app) and we will do our best to find you a solution.
Exploring Details & Activity
Q.How can I view more details on an Interest Schedule item?
A. Clicking on any row or card in the Interest Schedule allows you to:
View full details and activity
See agent comments
Edit or add new fields
Review completed or booked viewings
Q. Can I track deal progression and viewings over time?
A. Yes, the Disposal Summary section shows key stats such as:
Deal progression stages
Sources of viewing interest over time
Instructed agents and agencies
Q. How can I make sure my property gets maximum exposure on the Agents Society?
A. Check out our Society Advertising Opportunities for landlords - here you can create and display adverts directly in the eyeline of where the agents are doing their daily deals and workflows.
Present Mode
Q. What is Present Mode, and how do I use it?
A. Present Mode offers a fullscreen, minimalist view of the Interest Schedule or Disposal Summary. It’s designed for screen sharing in marketing meetings, so only the most important information is shown, free of clutter and distractions.
Market trends
Q. How many Landlords are already using Digital Reporting via Kato?
A. We have over 500 landlords on the platform in some capacity, with at least 80 of those actively receiving Interest Schedules from agents. Some of these landlords are just receiving one interest schedule while others have their entire market-facing portfolio listed. We get the best feedback about efficiency/ consistency and time-saving from Landlords who use Kato as a one-stop-shop for all their interest and have all of their agents on board.
