How to search Society Disposals

Written by Max Kemplen

🎯 Goal

Find disposals circulated to your society by other members, to match against your live requirements, benchmark against your own listings, or simply keep a pulse on new supply.

❓ Why

Society disposals are your extended supply pipeline. Every member-circulated disposal is a property you can consider for your applicants, so being able to search, filter and monitor them is core to tenant-rep workflow, and to picking up opportunities your own portfolio doesn't cover.

🔍 Overview

The Society Dashboard is your entry point. From there, you can jump into Society Disposals to browse what's been circulated, search by location, size, use class, or agent, and either pull a disposal onto a requirement's availability schedule or send a direct match request to the agent.

📊 Step-by-step

1. Open your Society Dashboard

From the left nav, click your society (RLAS / OAS / IAS / WEAS / CAS - whichever you're a member of). You land on the society's dashboard.

2. Browse Society Disposals

Click Society Disposals. The list shows recently circulated disposals from other members, with the latest at the top.

3. Search and filter

  • Search bar - by address, agency, or property name.

  • Filters - size, location (postcode/district), use class, tenure (To Let / For Sale), date circulated.

  • Map view - plot disposals geographically for submarket scans.

4. Open and action

Click into a disposal to see the full listing. From here you can:

  • Add it to an applicant's availability schedule

  • Message the listing agent

  • Request further details or a viewing

✅ You've done it when…

You can locate circulated disposals quickly, and have a sense of the supply landscape relevant to your applicants.

💡 Common mistakes & pro tips

  • Save frequent searches. A saved search for your core submarket/size bracket saves rebuilding filters each day.

  • Set notification preferences. Kato can email you only when disposals matching your criteria are circulated - so you don't need to hunt.

  • Act fast on hot supply. First mover on a match request often matters - society disposals attract interest from multiple members.
