🎯 Goal
Configure your Work in Progress view, the live pipeline of your team's active deals, so you can see what matters, spot bottlenecks, and drive the right actions forward.
❓ Why
Work in Progress is the weekly snapshot most agency leaders live in. A poorly-configured WIP view is noise; a well-configured one tells you in 30 seconds who's busy, who's blocked, which deals are slipping, and what to escalate. Spend 5 minutes getting your view right; save hours every month.
🔍 Overview
Work In Progress combines requirements and disposals and any other project in their active states. You can view as a list, a Kanban-style board, or through saved views. Filters let you focus on a specific agent, team, region, or deal size.
📊 Step-by-step
1. Apply filters
Common useful filters:
Assigned agent — narrow to your team
Status — Shortlist / Viewing / Negotiating / Lawyers / Signed
Source — website / referral / society / BD
Size or value — focus on strategic deals
Last update — spot stale deals that haven't moved in 30+ days
Location
2. Save as a view
Pin your most-used WIP cut as a saved view (e.g. "My WIP", "Team WIP", "Stale deals reminder"). First pinned view becomes your default.
3. Quick actions from WIP
Click into any record to view/update, then return to the list. From the board view, drag records between columns to progress them.
✅ You've done it when…
Your WIP view tells you what you need at a glance, the deals you're running, who's doing what, and where things are stuck.
💡 Common mistakes & pro tips
Pin 2–3 views, not 10. "My active deals", "Stale reminder" (not updated 30+ days), "Negotiating or later", that's a useful set.
Board view works for 30 or fewer deals. Above that, list view is sharper.
"Last update" is the silent killer. A deal unchanged for 45 days either needs progressing or archiving, don't let them rot.
Team WIP requires discipline. If agents don't update their matches, the view lies. Build the habit.
Share useful team views. One "Team BD Pipeline" view shared is better than five personal variants.
