How to create a saved view of Sale records

Written by Max Kemplen

🎯 Goal

Save your preferred filter combination on the Sales section as a named view, so your monthly pitch list, quarterly review cut, or team watchlist is one click away instead of a rebuild each time.

❓ Why

The cohort of sales you care about this week often repeats next week. Saved views lock the filter definition and save minutes per use, and introduce consistency when you're sharing lists with colleagues.

🔍 Overview

Apply filters, save with a name, optionally share with your team, and pin the most-used.

📊 Step-by-step

  1. Open Sales.

  2. Apply all the filters you want in the view (location, price range, investment type, etc.) and pick table or board view.

  3. Click Save View.

  4. Name it clearly — "Investment sales over £10m 2025" beats "View 9".

  5. Choose private or shared.

Tip - Pin the views you use daily from the all-views page; the first pinned view becomes your default.

✅ You've done it when…

The view appears in your view picker, loads instantly, and (if pinned) opens by default when you click Sales.

💡 Common mistakes & pro tips

  • Name for recognisability. You won't remember what "View 14" was in a month.

  • Good candidate views: Investment sales this year, Freehold sales over £5m, My team's deals, Upcoming pitch — East Midlands industrial.

  • Views clutter fast. Declutter monthly — delete unused views.

  • Share team views rather than everyone building their own variant. One canonical team view beats five slightly different personal ones.
