🎯 Goal
Build a new Agency Insights dashboard tailored to the performance questions you want to answer, your team's activity, a specific sector's pipeline, or a time-period review, and save it for regular use.
❓ Why
Generic dashboards answer generic questions. A saved dashboard tuned to how your team actually works, the filters you apply, the metrics you track, the time window you care about, gives you the right numbers instantly, every time you open Kato.
🔍 Overview
Agency Insights lets you report on disposals, viewings, transactions, and requirements. You pick the topic, apply filters to focus the cohort, choose a time period, and save as a dashboard for repeat use.
📊 Step-by-step
1. Open Agency Insights
Click Insights in the left-hand nav (or the Insights/Reporting section - exact path depends on your setup).
2. Pick the topic
Insights topics include:
Disposals - listings activity, new/completed/withdrawn volumes
Requirements - enquiry volumes, source, conversion
Viewings - count, feedback, by agent
Transactions - completed leases and sales, values, sq ft
3. Apply filters
Each topic has its own filter set. Common filters:
Team or individual agent
Sector or property type
Location / region
Source of enquiry
Status
4. Set the time period
Pick a period —-last 7 days, month, quarter, year, or a custom range.
5. Save the dashboard
Give it a clear name ("Office team - London lettings Q3") and save. It's now accessible from your saved dashboards list.
✅ You've done it when…
The dashboard is saved, named clearly, and returns to the same configuration whenever you open it — ready for the next weekly or monthly review.
💡 Common mistakes & pro tips
Build dashboards for specific questions, not "everything". A dashboard trying to answer five questions answers none well.
Name your dashboard for the audience. "Monday team standup" / "Quarterly board pack" tells you when to use it.
Refresh filters occasionally. Team compositions change, agent names move, regions get added. Review your saved dashboards every quarter.
Use custom time ranges for year-on-year reviews. "Last 90 days" is a moving window; "Jan–Mar 2026" lets you compare to the same period in prior years.
