🎯 Goal
Learn how to use the Double Panel to manage both schedule and requirement information side by side.
💡 Why
The Double Panel helps you work faster and stay organised. It brings your matched schedule data and requirement details together in one place, so you can make updates and collaborate seamlessly.
🧭 Overview
The Double Panel displays two views side by side.
Left panel: Match context for specific schedule data.
Right panel: Your organisations context of the requirement and its connections.
Benefits
• See the schedule-specific and requirement context together.
• Requirement data is connected across all matches by default.
• Edit either the schedule data or the requirement data without leaving the page.
⬅️ Left Panel: Match Context
Use the left panel to manage the schedule-specific data.
You can:
• Add comments visible to collaborators.
• Update the match status.
• Set tenant confidentiality.
• View schedule activity and updates.
• Message tenant reps directly through Tenant Rep Chat (Society).
🪄Note: Setting a match as confidential will not display tenant information on the schedule. Setting the match as 'not confidential' will only show the tenant company name, unless one doesn't exist. When a tenant company name doesn't exist, the tenant company contact name will be displayed on the schedule instead.
➡️ Right Panel: Requirement Context
Use the right panel to view and manage your internal requirement data.
You can:
• View the location map, requirement summary and all key requirement information.
• Check contact details.
• Edit in-line for amending requirement details (Intel tab).
• View and add internal comments or add requirements to lists (Comments tab).
• See other matched spaces at a glance (Matches Spaces tab).
🪄Note: Changes made to the requirement are reflected in the match schedule data for all connected matches. The only exception is when a user decides to break the requirement connection on a specific schedule by creating a custom version of that requirement, just for that schedule (see 'Creating Tailored Matches' below).
Kato Pro users can:
• Copy and enrich Society requirements.
• Manage internal views while keeping marketplace collaboration active.
🔧 Creating Tailored Matches
Creating a 'custom' version of a requirement specific to a schedule
To make schedule-specific edits:
Click on the 'Data' tab on the left-hand navigation bar of the left slideout.
Select 'Custom' from the 'Details on schedule' dropdown
Return to the left panel and edit freely.
When custom is on:
• Edits in this area will not affect the requirement.
• Edits to the requirement will not affect the schedule data.
• You can add/remove sensitive intel or adjust the presentation of data.
• The requirement can be reconnected anytime.
🪄Note: Reconnecting the requirement will cause the data in a custom version to be overridden. If you accidentally override information or wish to reference it at a later date, you can view all the changes in the 'Activity Log'.
⚡️ Quick Start (2 Minutes)
Open a matched requirement.
Review intel and details in the right panel.
Update status, confidentiality, and comments in the left panel.
Create a custom version of your requirement for tailored reporting/collaboration.
On Kato Pro, copy and manage Society requirements internally.
🚀 Key Benefits
• Requirements and schedule data are connected by default, so data stays aligned.
• Clear layout with requirement information on the right and schedule data on the left.
• Granular control by creating custom versions of requirements, per schedule, if needed.
• All-in-one workflow that lets you view and update without switching pages.
❓FAQs
Will creating a custom requirement for a schedule impact other matches?
Other matches will not be affected. Only the data for that specific space becomes independent.
What’s best practice for confidentiality?
Confidentiality settings should be adjusted per match in the left panel, especially when multiple landlords or agents are involved.
When should I copy a Society requirement (Pro)?
• When completing missing data.
• When adding internal-only qualifiers.
• When managing a Society requirement as an internal record.
