🎯 Goal
Recirculate an existing society-published requirement to members, refreshing visibility, flagging a material change, or resetting engagement when matches have slowed.
❓ Why
A requirement circulated six weeks ago has faded from members' inboxes. Recirculation is a deliberate nudge, reminding the market that your applicant is still live and sharpening the signal when something about the brief has changed. Used well, it reactivates dormant interest; used badly, it becomes noise.
🔍 Overview
Recirculation cadence is once per fortnight. When you recirculate you can edit the mailer subject, body, and update any of the requirement's details before re-sending.
📊 Step-by-step
Open the requirement → Search Criteria tab.
Go to Society Publishing.
Click Prepare Email & Recirculate. Kato shows the next allowable date (fortnight cadence from the last circulation).
Update the requirement details if anything has changed — budget, location, specifics.
Edit the mailer subject and body to reflect what's different or why you're recirculating.
Confirm the society(s) and send.
✅ You've done it when…
Members have received the refreshed mailer and the requirement shows freshly circulated in the society Requirements feed. Expect an uptick in match requests within a day or two for well-pitched recirculations.
💡 Common mistakes & pro tips
Never recirculate unchanged. If nothing has moved, a recirculation says "still looking" — which members know. Give them something new: budget flex, expanded area, preference change.
Use fortnightly cadence sparingly. Hitting the max recirculation every two weeks across multiple requirements signals your briefs aren't progressing. Members notice.
Strong subject lines win. "Legal firm now open to fringe locations" or "Budget revised to £90/sq ft" is more compelling than "Re: acquisition reminder".
Comp Schedule / Market Research requirements can't be recirculated — these don't email members in the first place.
